Alberta Needs Women

All of Canada’s major provinces have more women than men, except for booming Alberta.
Latest figures from Statistics Canada show low-tax Alberta, which has grown rich on oil, has 38,000 more males than females. It’s likely Alberta’s status as Canada’s “men’s province” has come from an influx of single men, attracted by high wages in the oil industry.
At the other end of the scale, Ontario has 163,000 more females than males. Most of the difference in Ontario is caused by women living longer than men.
