They work 18 hours for a quarter of the pay meaning a lot of dodgy tradesmen are the only ones who can keep up with them while the REAL trades are priced out. Why study to be a plumber then get the same work you'd get working in a non-skilled job? It's like complaining because a vet charges an arm and a leg. Do you want to go back to the days when a barber would take out your teeth while giving your beard a trim? No, mate, you don’t need more poles. Some of the Pommy trades I've met tell me they're here because they've been priced out of England by the Poles undercutting them. We could do with that here because it ain't easy geting a plumber or an electrician in Sydney and they cost a fortune.
