More New Jobs For Canada

- Employment in Canada increased by around 35,000 in June 2007, compared with the previous month.
- Despite this, the Canadian unemployment rate remained at 6.1 percent because there were more new job seekers – some of them immigrants – than new jobs.
- For the second month in a row, full-time work increased while part-time employment fell.
- Most new jobs were created in British Columbia and Ontario.
- Employment in Quebec increased by 22,000 pushing the unemployment rate down 6.9%, the lowest in 33 years.
