Employer Sponsored Immigration to Australia
An ideal way to move to Australia is with a pre-arranged job. There are significant skills shortages in Australia, as a result of which Australian employers are able to sponsor your immigration.
Four employer sponsored visas are available. (One of these is only available to international firms who wish to move employees to Australia.) The other three visas are used by Australian comapanies to recruit people from overseas who wish to work in Australia.
These are:
Employer Nomination Scheme
The Employer Nomination Scheme is used by employers who are unable to fill highly skilled vacancies from their current workforce.
Permanent visas (allowing permanent residence in Australia) are issued.
Labour Agreements
Labour Agreements allow employers to recruit numbers of workers from overseas in response to skill shortages in Australia.
Employers reach a specific agreement with the government about a recruitment campaign.
Temporary or permanent visas can be issued.
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme.
The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme is used by employers in regional / low population growth areas who are unable to fill skilled vacancies locally.
Permanent visas are issued.
