Types of
Australian Immigration Visa

There are several different visas, each offering the possiblility of permanent residence in Australia. You can choose from:

General Skilled Migration
For skilled people under the age of 45 with recent work experience.

Employer Sponsored Migration
If you have the required skills, many Australian employers will sponsor your migration.

Nurses
Nurses are given high priority for immigration to Australia.

Family Immigration
The family immigration category is ideal for people with close family or partners / spouses who are Australian (or New Zealand) citizens or residents.

Retiring in Australia
Australia has an investment/retirement visa category for people over the age of 55. The Retirement Visa does not give you the right to permanent residence. It allows you to live in Australia for four years. You can apply for unlimited renewals of this visa, provided you continue to meet the conditions of the visa.

Business Skills and Investment Visas
Business Skills Visas are aimed at people with appropriate experience who wish to settle permanently in Australia, with the intention of developing a new or existing business. Investment Visas are also available to successful business people and investors. The age limit on most business visa categories is 45 years old maximum. Regional versions of the visas allow them to be issued to people up to the age of 55.

Distinguished Talent
Distinguished Talent Visas can be issued to people with outstanding achievements in a profession, the arts, sport, research or academia.
